LOCATION: 14238 Valley Center Dr, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Desmen Bentley, 28-year-old Resident of Barstow
SUMMARY: On Friday, January 26, 2024, at approximately 12:53 p.m. deputies of the Victorville station responded to Ariana’s Runway Shapewear for a robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, deputies learned the male suspect, identified as Desmen Bentley, broke open a rear window and entered the business during operating hours. An employee working heard commotion in the back of the store and saw Bentley climbing through the window with a knife in his hand. The store employees were able to run out safely and called 9-1-1. Bentley stole the cash register and fled through the rear door prior to deputies arriving.
During an area check, deputies located Bentley and detained him. Bentley was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for P.C. 211- Robbery, and P.C. 594(B)(1) Vandalism Damage $400.00 or more.
