Cold, dry, northerly winds will undercut warm moist air, resulting in snow accumulation for Skagway, Haines, and surrounding area. What is uncertain is how strong the northerly winds will push the band of snow southward.
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Municipality of Skagway and Haines Borough including downtown Haines, Klukwan, and Haines Highway.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
