Flood Advisory until 12:15AM Tuesday
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected.
* WHERE...Near Haines.
* WHEN...Until 1215 AM AKST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water in areas is occurring or is imminent. Small slides have been reported.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 431 PM AKST, emergency management reported an area of heavy rainfall across the advisory area. Rapid snowmelt is also occurring and will combine with rain to cause minor flooding. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible. - Saturated ground and strong winds may cause tree fall. - Airport Road is under water. - Storm drains should be kept clear of debris as much as possible.
