Needles Man Arrested for Child Endangerment When Deputies Locate Drug Paraphernalia Within Reach of Two Children
DATE/TIME: Monday, January 29, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 273A(A) - Child Endangerment and PC 30305(A)(1) - Felon in Possession of Unlawful Ammunition
LOCATION: 800 Block of Fourth Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Tory Gonzales, 39-years-old, Male Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL
SUMMARY: On Monday, January 29, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies contacted Tory Gonzales and his two minor children at their residence near the 800 block of Fourth Street, during a search warrant.
During the service of the search warrant, various dangerous drug paraphernalia, including hypodermic needles and drug residue, was located throughout the house, all accessible to the minor children living in the residence. In addition, unlawful ammunition was located inside of the residence. Gonzales is a felon and is prohibited from possessing ammunition.
The house was found to be extremely untidy and unkempt, considered to be unsuitable for children. Gonzales was arrested and the two minor children were released to a responsible party.
