Advisory

Winter Storm Heading our Way

According to the US National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area/Monterey California a storm is rolling in to our region later this morning, bringing rain and heavy winds. Prepare for possible minor flooding, downed trees, and power outages. And remember the roads will be slick, so drive safely.

With the possibility of power outages, traffic signals may be out. If a traffic signal light is not working proceed cautiously as if the intersection is controlled by “STOP” signs in all directions. At 4-way stop if 2 vehicles reach intersection simultaneously the vehicle on the left must yield the right-of-way to the one on the right.

To report a clogged storm drain or weather-related issues in Santa Clara call (408) 615-5640.

If you need a place to stay dry visit a city library, the Community Rec Center, or the Senior Center.

If you need warm shelter contact HomeFirst Homeless Helpline at
(408) 539-2105.

Please do not call 911 to report power outages.

If you have pets make sure they are inside and have warm shelter too.

Stay warm and safe, Santa Clara!
