Wilmington Police have arrested a man on robbery charges.
On January 10, at approximately 10:10 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 200 block of West 23rd Street, in reference to an armed robbery. The case was assigned to Detective Justin Wilkers of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Through the course of his investigation, Detective Wilkers identified 25-year-old Andre Thomas as a suspect, and obtained warrants for this arrest. On January 26, police took Thomas into custody without incident.
Thomas has been charged with the following offenses:
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $140,000 cash-only bail.
