The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch and a Wind Advisory for Marin County. The weather storm points to heavy rainfall primarily Wednesday morning 1/31/24 through Thursday 2/1/24 morning. There is high confidence of 4-6” totals across the County. High winds of 35 – 50mph. Please prepare for localized flooding, power outages, downed trees, and downed power lines. Avoid travel if possible.
Sandbags are a great resource for those living in areas prone to flooding. Fairfax DPW Crews have prepared sand and sandbags available for Fairfax Residents at the Pavilion Parking Lot (next to the skatepark) at 142 Bolinas Rd. Fairfax, CA 94930.

Health and Human Services has activated the Severe Weather Emergency Shelter (SWES) at 3240 Kerner Blvd from 5:00 pm Wednesday 1/31 through 6:30 am 2/1. More Information can be found on the HHS Website.
