Did you hear? Strong winds and heavy rain are expected in our region today and tomorrow. Our staff, along with Public Works and the Petaluma Police Department are patrolling the city to respond to road closures, blocked storm drains, and storm-related issues. To assist in storm preparation, we recommend the following: 
Plan for extra travel time on the road and ensure your headlights are on. We recommend motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists use caution when traveling on the roadways and that you do not attempt to bypass road closure or flooding signs.
Need a sandbag?
Sandbags are available to the right of the entrance to Prince Park and on Hopper Street adjacent to the Hopper Street Railroad Crossing. These are self-serve stations and will be open throughout the next few days. Please bring your own shovel. If you have questions, or concerns, or need sandbags, please call 707-778-4546.
Keep drainage areas and pipes around your property clear. See an obstruction? Call the City Public Works department at 707-778-4303 to report it.
Secure loose objects outside your home as they could be moved or damaged by high winds.
If anyone in your community is ill, elderly, or has mobility issues, please check in on them and offer help or support if possible.
If you see a fallen power line, do NOT touch it! Report it to us by calling 911. If you encounter a stop light that has lost power, please treat it as a 4-way stop.
