On Saturday, Feb 3, 2024, from 7:45a.m. to 11:15a.m. there will be road closures in Lighthouse Point in conjunction with the Keeper Day 5K Run and Parade. The run will begin and end at Frank McDonough Park, prior to the Keeper Day Parade, and will utilize a portion of the parade route (see attached). The Keeper Day Parade will start in the 1900 block of NE 24^th Street and end at Frank McDonough Park.

Residents of the Lake Placid area, and all areas EAST of Lighthouse Drive, between Sample Road and NE 24 Street, should note that the race/parade route, which extends from Frank McDonough Park south to NE 24 Street, will be closed between the hours of 7:45am to 11:15am to vehicular traffic during intermittent times. Also residents off of NE 21 Ave, and NE 21 Terr from the 2400 block to the 2800 Block could be affected, please see the attached maps.

Keeper Day 5K Race Road Closures
From 7:45am to 9:15am, the Lake Placid area, and all areas EAST of Lighthouse Drive, between Sample Road and NE 28 Street will be closed to vehicular traffic.

NOTE:            THE PARADE/5K RACE ROUTE WILL OPEN TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC BETWEEN 9:15AM and 9:55AM, THOSE ROADS LISTED WILL CLOSE AGAIN AT 9:55AM AND WILL REMAIL CLOSED UNTIL 11:15AM.

Keeper Day Parade Road Closures
From 10:00am to 11:15am, the Lake Placid area, and all areas EAST of Lighthouse Drive, between Sample Road and NE 24 Street will be closed intermittently to vehicular traffic.  If the road repairs are completed on NE 22 Ave and NE 26 St prior to Saturday morning, the parade route will continue as normal down Lighthouse Drive from NE 24 St to Sample Road and then East to McDonough Park.
 
If the road repairs are not completed by Friday Feb 2^nd, 2024 the parade route will be altered from NE 24 St, it will turn down NE 21 Ave, to NE 21 Terr from NE 25 St to NE 28 St and then north on NE 23 Ave ( Lighthouse Drive).  Those affected streets will be blocked to vehicular traffic until the parade passes.  A NIXLE alert, and Facebook posts on the Police Department page and the City page will announce the final parade route for the area affected by the road repairs.

These road closures are necessary to accommodate the runners and the parade that follows.
