Discolored water throughout the Township’s water system is being experienced by residents. 
The Monroe Twp. Utility Department and Monroe Twp. OEM are aware of the discolored water issue in the Township.
The Utility Department is actively working to resolve this situation. The water is safe but is discolored due to a contractor who was flushing hydrants within the Venue Residential Development, adjacent to Cranbury Road, yesterday afternoon, which caused the discolored water issue. Once the discolored water is eliminated from the system, household faucets should be left open until any discolored water that might have entered the house clears up.
