Press Release: Fairfield Police Investigating Home Invasion Sexual Assault; Request Tips from Community

Fairfield Police are investigating after a sexual assault occurred yesterday in a neighborhood on the east side of the City, bordered by Grammercy Circle. 

The victim was in their home 
at around 6:30 pm when a man forced his way inside before committing the assault. The man is not known to the victim, but was described as approximately 25-year-old, of Hispanic or Pacific Islander descent, with a thin build, and short brown beard. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie sweater. 

Residents can expect an increased police presence in the area as we add additional patrols. 

While the investigation is ongoing and no additional details are available at this time, we ask that residents in the area check their home/vehicle video recordings and report anything suspicious to (707)428-7300.
