INCIDENT: P.C. 211- Robbery, P.C. 69(A)- Obstruct or Resisting an Officer
LOCATION: 13650 Bear Valley Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Genesis Malissa Torres, 31-year-old Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at approximately 5:52 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station received a call for service at CVS located at 13650 Bear Valley Road for a disruptive female inside the store.
An employee reported the suspect, Genesis Malissa Torres, attempted to walk out of the store with multiple shopping carts filled with alcohol and miscellaneous items, while fighting with customers. Torres was unsuccessful walking out with multiple carts and began throwing items out of the carts. Torres eventually walked out of the store with unpaid merchandise in her hands. Deputies located Torres outside of the store with the stolen merchandise.
Torres was uncooperative with deputies, but was ultimately taken into custody. Torres was booked at High Desert Detention Center for P.C. 211- Robbery, P.C. 69(A)- Obstruct or Resisting an Officer
