Winter Storm Warning until 05:00PM Sunday

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 3 inches. For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches at mountain pass level, with higher amounts above pass level.

* WHERE...Portions of central and north central Montana.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 11 PM this evening to 5 AM MST Saturday. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 5 AM Saturday to 5 PM MST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they are prepared for dangerous conditions.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST GLACIER PARK REGION ... SOUTHERN ROCKY MOUNTAIN FRONT ... UPPER BLACKFOOT AND MACDONALD PASS ... LITTLE BELT AND HIGHWOOD MOUNTAINS ... BIG BELT, BRIDGER AND CASTLE MOUNTAINS ... ELKHORN AND BOULDER MOUNTAINS
