* WHAT...Heavy snow will result in very dangerous avalanche conditions and a HIGH (Level 4 of 5) on Saturday and Sunday
* WHERE...Elkhead Mountains, Park Range, Flat Tops, West Elk and Elk Mountains, Ragged Mountains, Gore Range, southeastern Front Range, Monarch Pass area, Sangre de Cristo Range, and Pikes Peak
* WHEN... Expect very dangerous avalanche conditions by Saturday morning, lasting through the weekend.
* IMPACTS...Large and dangerous avalanches will be very easy to trigger in many places. Avalanches will run naturally.
* PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel in backcountry avalanche terrain is not recommended in the mentioned areas. Avoid travel on and under slopes steeper than about 30 degrees. You can find more detailed information at colorado.gov/avalanche JK
