LOCATION: AM/PM, Bear Valley Road, Victorville
SUSPECT 1: Crystal Buenrostro, 32-years-old, Resident of Victorville
SUSPECT 2: Juvenile Male, 17-years-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Juvenile Male, 14-years-old, Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Monday, January 26, 2024, at 1:20 p.m., deputies responded to the AM/PM on Bear Valley Road for the report of a male juvenile who had been robbed. Deputy Robinson, from the Victorville Police Department, arrived and learned the victim was inside the store when he was approached by the 17-year-old male suspect. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s shoes. The victim complied and the suspect left the store, got into a vehicle, and fled the location.
Through investigation, Deputy Robinson identified the suspect vehicle and the suspects involved in the robbery. On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, a search warrant was served at the suspect’s residence in Victorville where evidence of the robbery was located.
Through further investigation, Deputy Robinson determined the suspect’s mother, Crystal Buenrostro, conspired with the suspect to commit the robbery, drove the vehicle to AM/PM, and drove away after the robbery.
Both the 17-year-old suspect and Buenrostro were arrested. The juvenile suspect was booked in at the High Desert Juvenile Hall while Buenrostro was booked in at the High Desert Detention Center. Buenrostro later posted bail and was released on February 2, 2024.
