As we brace for moderate to heavy rain in the Duarte area, Los Angeles County Public Works issues a Phase 3 mudflow alert for the Fish Fire area. Starting Sunday, February 4, at 6 PM, the Fish Fire Area will be elevated to a Yellow Alert Level, effective until Tuesday, February 6, at 10 AM.

Fish Fire Impact Area Evacuation Warning and Road Closure:

Starting Sunday, February 4 at 6 PM, Mel Canyon Road from Brookridge Road to Fish Canyon Road will be closed until Tuesday, February 6 at 10 AM. 

Residents living on Mel Canyon Road between Brookridge Road to Fish Canyon Road will be under an EVACUATION WARNING, effective from 6 PM on Sunday, February 4^th through 10 AM on Tuesday, February 6^th .

Mel Canyon Road will be closed to all vehicular traffic and residents are encouraged to park your vehicle(s) outside of the closure area, to ensure access to your vehicle in the event an evacuation order is issued.

Be ready for possible evacuations. Gather loved ones, pets, and supplies. 

Sand Bags:
Sandbags are available at LA County Fire Station 44 (1105 Highland Avenue, Duarte, CA 91010).
