...ACCUMULATING SNOW FOR THIS WEEKEND... .Another front associated with a weakening low pressure system moving into the northern gulf will bring more snow to the NE gulf coast throughout the day Sunday. The heaviest snowfall rates are expected along the outer coast around Yakutat. As the low pressure system moves northward, the accompanying front will begin to mix down warm air through the morning hours around Yakutat. Snow is expected to transition to rain around Sunday afternoon.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...City and Borough of Yakutat.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 3 PM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Heavy wet snow will be difficult to manage due to high water content.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will be dry and powdery to begin, then transition to heavy and wet through the morning hours. A transition to rain is expected Sunday afternoon.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CITY AND BOROUGH OF YAKUTAT
