SUMMARY: On Friday, February 2, 2024, at 1:25 p.m., Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from Victor Valley Hospital after a female driving a black Toyota Corolla attempted to run over a security guard near the emergency room, and fled the area. When deputies arrived, the female suspect, identified as Lynn Duenaslujan, returned to the hospital parking lot and drove straight toward a deputy’s vehicle. Duenaslujan drove around the vehicle and fled the scene. Deputies attempted to stop Duenaslujan, but she failed to yield, and a pursuit ensued.
Duenaslujan drove through the city and deputies performed a PIT maneuver near the Victorville Courthouse. The vehicle turned into the courthouse parking lot and became disabled. Duenaslujan refused to exit the vehicle and pepperballs were deployed. Duenaslujan exited the vehicle and was taken into custody without further incident.
Duenaslujan was booked in at the High Desert Detention Center and later transferred to the West Valley Detention Center where she remains in custody on $100,000 bail.
