February 2, 2024:

• Officer Allison responded to the 600 block of Hupp Avenue for a breaking and entering report.
• Officer Kuhn visited Hunt Elementary.
• Sergeant Thoresen made contact with a subject in the 200 block of Gilbert Street. A 22-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant. Charges for possession of narcotics will be sought on the male.
• Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop at East Ganson Street and Edgewood Street. A 52-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
• Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Lansing Avenue. The 36-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while under the influence of narcotics.
• Officer Reynaga and Officer Soloman were dispatched to the 1200 block of West Michigan Avenue for a disorderly subject. A 30-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated, 2^nd offense.
• Officer Albrecht and Officer Panther attempted a traffic stop near West Prospect Street and South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, but the driver fled. The 19-year-old male driver was arrested for fleeing and eluding, and multiple outstanding warrants.
• Officers attempted to make contact with a subject in the area of South Milwaukee Street and Mitchell Street, but the subject fled on foot and was not located. Officers retraced the path the subject ran and located a stolen firearm. Charges will be sought on the 16-year-old male for carrying a concealed weapon; possession of a stolen firearm; and resisting and obstructing.
• Officers assisted JSO with a search warrant in the 200 block of Wall Street.

• Officer Mills was dispatched to the 700 block of Gettysburg Avenue for a breaking and entering report.
• Officers Mills responded to the 300 block of West High Street for a domestic dispute. A 31-year-old male was arrested for violation of a personal protection order.
• Officer Panther conducted a traffic stop at South Mechanic Street and East Washington Avenue. The 28-year-old male driver was arrested for possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute, and smuggling contraband into the jail. A 40-year-old male who arrived at the scene was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
• Officer Tripp made contact with a subject in the 600 block of North Wisner Street. The 60-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
• Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop near Madison Street and North Blackstone Street. The 63-year-old male driver was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon; possession of narcotics; driving with a suspended license; conditional bond violation; and resisting and obstructing,
• Officers were dispatched to Barberry Drive and Heather Lane for disorderly subjects. A subject who had been reported missing was located on scene, and a stolen vehicle was recovered.  

• Officers responded to the 200 block of Barberry Drive for a personal welfare check.
• Officer Panther made contact with subjects in the 1500 block of East Michigan Avenue. A 31-year-old male was arrested for possession of narcotics; assault on a police officer; resisting and obstructing; and several outstanding felony warrants.
• Officer Albrecht was dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of Wall Street. JCYC refused to lodge the 15-year-old female suspect for domestic assault.
• Officers responded to Fourth Street and West Michigan Avenue for shots fired. Casings were located in the area.
• Officer Panther and Officer Vernier were dispatched to the 1900 block of East Michigan Avenue for a disorderly subject. A 23-year-old male was arrested for resisting and obstructing, and an outstanding warrant.
