INCIDENT: V.C. 23153(A)- Driving Under the Influence Causing Bodily Injury, V.C. 23153(B)- Driving Under the Influence with a 0.08% Alcohol Content or Above and V.C. 14601.2(A)- Driving with a Suspended License while Under the Influence
LOCATION: D Street and Seventh Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Teresa Navarrete, 27-year-old Resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): 38-year-old Male
SUMMARY: On Sunday, February 4, 2024, at approximately 10:32 p.m., deputies from the Victorville station received a call for an injured male victim that was hit by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 38-year-old victim who was struck by a 2016 Kia Soul. The victim sustained a head wound from the accident and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. During the investigation, deputies contacted the driver of the 2016 Kia Soul who was identified as Teresa Navarrete. Navarrete was found to be driving under the influence and was detained.
Navarrete was booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for V.C. 23153(A)- Driving Under the Influence Causing Bodily Injury, V.C. 23153(B)- Driving Under the Influence with a 0.08% Alcohol Content or Above and V.C. 14601.2(A)- Driving with a Suspended License while Under the Influence.
