**UPDATE**
All traffic lights in Sebastopol are now operational, as power has been restored to most parts of the city.
PREVIOUS MESSAGE:
Sebastopol PD advises you to AVOID Downtown Sebastopol due to traffic congestion. The power outage for a large portion of Sebastopol has caused significant traffic backups, due to the traffic signal at the intersection of Sebastopol/Bodega Avenue (Hwy 12) and Main Street (Hwy 116) being out. Westbound traffic entering Sebastopol via Hwy 12 from Santa Rosa is especially affected.
Other traffic signals on the west side of Sebastopol are out as well. Remember to treat any non-functioning traffic signal like a stop sign.
In the meantime, please use alternate routes through town that do not take you through the Downtown area, if possible.
PG & E is working hard all over the county to get power restore. We will do our best to alert you when the situation is rectified.
