The National Weather Service has issued a FLOOD ADVISORY for Costa Mesa and the region in effect until NOON PST TODAY...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following
counties, Orange and Riverside.
* WHEN...Until noon PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 650 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.75
inches of rain have fallen in the past six hours, and 1.50 to
2.50 in the past 24 hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 1.25 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Anaheim, Santa Ana, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove,
western Corona, Orange, Fullerton, Costa Mesa and Mission
Viejo.
