Two Suspects Arrested After Targeting an Elderly Victim and Stealing Her Property in Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Juan Andres Garcia Rodriguez, a 39-year-old resident of Concord, CA
Pablo Navarro Jimenez, a 54-year-old resident of Van Nuys, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Thursday, February 8, 2024, at about 4:00 PM, Chino Hills Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) deputies conducted a surveillance operation at Trader Joe's due to multiple recent thefts. Deputies saw two male adults, later identified as Juan Andres Garcia Rodriguez and Pablo Navarro Jimenez, behaving suspiciously.
The suspects contacted an elderly female subject as she shopped. One suspect distracted the victim as the other stole her property. Both suspects left the business with the victim's stolen property and were immediately arrested by awaiting deputies outside. Both suspects were booked at the West Valley Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing to determine whether these suspects were involved in other reported crimes.
