WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 7 PM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 11 inches with up to 12 inches in the eastern Catskills. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...The Litchfield Hills in northwestern Connecticut, southern Berkshire County in western Massachusetts, and the mid- Hudson Valley, the eastern Catskills, and the central and southern Taconics in eastern New York.
* WHEN...From 1 AM to 7 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 1 to 2 inches will likely occur late Monday night into Tuesday morning. There remains uncertainty on the exact placement of the heaviest snowfall rates.
