* WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected.
* WHERE...Avery, Burke Mountains, Caldwell Mountains, McDowell
Mountains, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties.
* WHEN...From 4 AM to 3 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR LOWER ELEVATIONS OF MCDOWELL FROM 4 AM TO 3 PM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast Georgia and the mountains and
foothills of North Carolina.
* WHEN...From 4 AM to 3 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
