National Weather Service Issues Winter Storm Warning from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024
Precipitation will start as rain late this evening (Monday, February 12, 2024) before switching over to snow in the early morning hours. Snow continues through late afternoon Tuesday. The heaviest period of snow will be Tuesday morning between 5am and 10am. The morning commute will be slippery and hazardous.
Total snow accumulation is expected to average 3 – 6 inches around the County. Locally higher amounts of up to 8 inches is possible for the Northwestern section of the County. This will be a heavy wet snow.
Slight changes in intensity or track could raise or lower snow amounts as the storm approaches.
Temperatures will remain in the mid 30’s throughout the storm.
Winds will be 10 - 15 MPH with gusts up to 25 MPH.
Residents shall make every effort possible to remove your vehicles parked on the streets until the roads are plowed sufficiently.
Your cooperation will greatly increase our public works employee’s ability to clear the roads of snow and ice in a prompt and timely manner.
Residents are also reminded that a Borough Ordinance prohibits the shoveling, placing, throwing or blowing of snow into or upon any street in Fair Lawn.
The Borough would also like to remind residents that for the safety and welfare of our residents, please attempt to clear snow around fire hydrants and crosswalks.

Do not call the Police Department to report a power outage or to ask when power will be restored.
