Parolee Arrested on Weapon and Drug Charges After Stealing Merchandise from Local Store

INCIDENT: H&S 11370.1(A)- Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed, P.C. 29800(A)(1)-Felon in Possession of a Firearm, P.C. 30305(A)(1)- Felon Prohibited of Possession of Ammunition, P.C. 3056- Violation of Parole
LOCATION: Victor Valley Mall, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Ivan Anthony Rodriguez, 27-year-old Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Friday, February 9, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Deputy Greterman responded to a call for service for two subjects stealing merchandise from JC Penny.
Deputy Greterman made contact with the subjects in the parking lot as they were driving off. The passenger of the vehicle, Ivan Anthony Rodriguez, was found to be on active parole. Deputies conducted a parole search of the vehicle and found over 400 rounds of .22 long rifle ammunition and two Beretta .22 caliber pistols.
Rodriguez was booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for H&S 11370.1(A), P.C. 29800(A)(1), P.C. 30305(A)(1), and P.C. 3056.
