Flint River near Lovejoy affecting Clayton, Fayette and Spalding Counties. Flint River below Big Branch near Molena affecting Pike and Meriwether Counties. Line Creek near Senoia affecting Fayette, Coweta and Spalding Counties. Flint River near Thomaston affecting Upson and Talbot Counties. Line Creek below Lake McIntosh near Peachtree City affecting Fayette and Coweta Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Flint River below Big Branch near Molena.
* WHEN...From late tonight to early Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 28 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding of the natural flood plain near the gage location begins. Flooding continues to expand into the agricultural and wooded areas downstream from the gage near the Georgia Highway 74 bridge. Elevated homes in this location will see a foot or two of water underneath them.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM EST Monday the stage was 22.1 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 31.1 feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 28 feet.
