Investigation – 600 block of South Franklin Street:

Update: the location in the initial release has been updated to South Franklin Street.

Wilmington Police are investigating what has been determined to have been a fatal stabbing incident.
 
On February 11 at approximately 7:30 a.m., police were called to the 600 block of South Franklin Street in reference to a 59-year-old female who was deceased at that location. Investigators began a death investigation in conjunction with the Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences, which determined on February 12 that the victim’s death was the result of a fatal stabbing incident.
 
This incident remains under investigation, and further details will be released when possible.
