Currently All Raritan Township DPW Trucks are out Treating Township Roadways. Please allow for extra time and exercise caution when driving this morning. If you do not have to be on the roadways this morning, consider staying home.

As a Reminder, Please Remove Any Vehicles Parked on Roadways to Allow the Roadways to be Cleared and Treated.

Raritan Township Offices will be closed today. Both Hunterdon Central Regional High School and the Flemington-Raritan Schools are Closed Today.

Weather Update... The overall forecast remains consistent with a heavy, wet, plowable 6 - 9" snowfall on tap this morning. The changeover to snow has already pushed through. There will still be 'lulls' and then ‘surges' of moderate to heavy snow before rates turn consistently heavier, passing 1" per hour for a time around daybreak.
 
Temperatures already have settled closer to 32, and this will remain the case during the waves of snow to come, causing pavements to more consistently cover and build up. The bulk of our accumulations occur over the next 6 or so hours, then 11 AM - 1 PM even the last bit of snow exits our area. Once rates let up midday, temperatures bounce back up a bit this afternoon, and some natural melting will help aid cleanup operations.
 
Any uncleared slush or lingering untreated wet spots will freeze tonight as we cool off into the 20s with a stray returning snow shower risk.
