Dept of Forestry Burn Ban will be in effect starting Thursday February 15th through Tuesday April 30th. No open air burning until after 4pm, if the fire is within 300 feet of the woods or dry grass which could carry fire to the woods. Fires after 4pm MUST be attended at all times. No Fuel may be added, or fires started after midnight. law applies to campfires, warming fires, brush piles, household trash, stumps, fields of dry grass and brush, or anything capable of spreading fire. Violation of this burn law can constitute a fine of $500. For questions or concerns contact the Va Dept of Forestry.
