Winter Storm Update - Snow continues to fall; Union Valley Rd. is closed. 11 motor vehicle accidents since 7am. 
Snow has been falling for several hours now and additional accumulation is expected until approximately 1:00pm.
Monroe Township Department of Public Works crews are out actively clearing and salting township roadways. Secondary roads may still be snow covered. Monroe Twp. DPW currently has 29 pieces of equipment out on township roadways which are actively involved in snow clearing operations. As a reminder, please remove all vehicles and obstructions such as basketball hoops from the roadways to ensure the safe and efficient passage of public works operators and first responders.
All Monroe Township Municipal Buildings including the Recycling Center will remain CLOSED today.
Road Closure: Union Valley Road will be closed between Perrineville Rd. and Gravel Hill Rd. until further notice due to a motor vehicle accident which involved a utility pole and downed wires.
Since 7:00am this morning, Monroe Township Police Department has responded to 11 motor vehicle accidents and 7 calls related to vehicles which slid off the roadways.
