The National Weather Service (NWS) winter storm warning for Hoboken has been cancelled.
The Office of Emergency Management warns that dangerous driving conditions may still impact the evening commute and encourages residents to avoid or limit travel if possible.
Emergency snow routes released
Snow emergency routes are sufficiently plowed and available for parking.
Discounted garage parking ends at 7 p.m.
Residents are reminded the discounted rate of 5$ at municipal garages will end at 7 p.m. tonight, Feb. 13. Regular rates will apply after that and at all other times.
HOP running on regular schedule; Street cleaning resumes tomorrow; Youth rec cancelled
The HOP shuttles will continue to run regular routes for the duration of today.
Street cleaning will resume a regular schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 14.
A reminder that City youth recreation programs are cancelled for today and will resume a regular schedule tomorrow.
Keep Sidewalks and Curb Ramps Clear
Property owners and occupants are reminded that they have six (6) hours after the completion of a storm to remove snow and ice from sidewalks adjacent to their property, along with adjoining curb ramps or curb cuts.
Residents are urged to use caution when shoveling as it is expected to be wet and heavy and assist elderly or disabled neighbors with clearing snow from their properties. It is illegal to shovel snow back onto streets or onto fire hydrants.
The City performs proactive inspections and relies on citizen complaints to help identify property owners that are not meeting sidewalk safety requirements. While most property owners comply with the safety regulations, the City will issue fines to those who do not keep sidewalks clear.
To report an un-shoveled sidewalk, please email [email protected].
