VICTIM(S): Six Individuals
UPDATE: February 13, 2024 – The identities of those who perished in the aircraft crash have been positively identified as:
Blake R. Hansen, 22-year-old resident of Moorpark, CA
Benjamin D. Pettingill, 25-year-old resident of Camarillo, CA
Herbert O. Wigwe, 57-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
Doreen C. Wigwe, 56-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
Herbert C. Wigwe, 29-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
Abimbola O. Ogunbanjo, 61-year-old resident of Lagos, Nigeria
SUMMARY: On February 9, 2024, at approximately 10:12 p.m., the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch received notification of a downed aircraft. The scene of the crash was determined to be approximately one-quarter mile east of Interstate 15, near Halloran Springs Road.
It has been confirmed all six people on board the aircraft are deceased. The identities of the deceased will be released once positive identification has been made and next of kin notifications have been made.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration. Inquiries about the crash should be directed accordingly.
