* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches. Northerly winds gusting as high as 45 mph. Visibility reduced to a half-mile or less at times.
* WHERE...Alaska Peninsula.
* WHEN...From 9 AM Wednesday to 9 PM AKST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions. Heavy snow and areas of blowing snow could cause significantly reduced visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin Wednesday morning across the Alaska Peninsula. The heaviest snow will fall Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday evening. The heaviest snow will also coincide with elevated northerly winds which could cause significant reductions in visibility; this is especially true for areas east of Cold Bay, including Nelson Lagoon. Snow will become lighter Thursday evening and linger into early Friday morning before ending.
