Two Men Arrested on Several Charges when Deputy Locates a Firearm and Marijuana for Sales in Vehicle

LOCATION: US Highway 395/ Luna Road, Victorville
SUSPECT: Daijan Douglas, 24 years-old, resident of Victorville
Tavares Harper, 23 years-old, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Deputy J. Mora located a vehicle occupied by Daijan Douglas and Tavares Harper, who were wanted for an assault with a deadly weapon at Popeye's in Hesperia on February 2, 2024.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located an unregistered Glock 27 semi-automatic pistol, over a half pound of marijuana packaged in 68 individual packages, and $5,480 dollars.
Douglas and Harper were arrested without incident and booked at High Desert Detention Center for assault with a firearm, felony vandalism, conspiracy, possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle/ public place, possession of a firearm not registered to the owner, and transportation for sales.
