1. Armed Robbery (Delayed) 2100 Block of Fontana Avenue, Civic District
On 02-12-24, at approximately 2000 hours, the male victim was outside of his house when the suspect approached, pointed a firearm, and demanded his property. The victim complied, and the suspect fled with the victim’s property. SUSPECT: Black male in his thirties.
2. Resisting Arrest (1022) 5600 Block of North Pershing Avenue, Lakeview District
Officers investigated a report of a business burglary and attempted to detain the suspect, who matched the burglary suspect’s description. The suspect resisted arrest and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. ARRESTED: Carlos Ray Burks, 35, for resisting arrest and trespassing.
3. Weapon Arrest (1235) 7900 Block of North El Dorado Street, Bear Creek District
Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Once the car stopped, the passenger fled on foot and was taken into custody after a short foot chase. Officers located a loaded firearm on his person. ARRESTED: Seventeen-year-old male for weapon violations.
