Wilmington Police have arrested a man and woman on gun and drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in February, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 1200 block of Conrad Street. On February 10, at approximately 3:28 p.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 30-year-old Eric Whittle and 29-year-old Jasmin Brown into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 1.9 grams of crack cocaine, 2.6 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Whittle has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,750 cash-only bail.
Brown has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
She was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released on $3,500 unsecured bail.
