Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.
On February 11, at approximately 12:05 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 800 block of West 5th Street, in reference to a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 25-year-old Darren Foster, who was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a loaded .45 caliber handgun, 6 grams of crack cocaine, and .049 grams of heroin.
Foster has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Three Counts
- Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was arraigned in the New Castle county Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $72,200 cash-only bail.
