INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION
LOCATION: El Mirage Road/ Richardson Road, Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 6:55 a.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision on El Mirage Road, near Richardson Road, in Adelanto.
According to witnesses, the driver of a semi-truck slowed down to turn right on to Richardson Road. For unknown reasons, the female driver of a white Toyota Corolla did not slow down, and rear ended the semi-truck.
The semi-truck driver was not injured. The driver of the Toyota Corolla succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
