Police Seek Help Locating Missing 73-Year-Old Newark Man

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in locating Eugene Williams, 73, of Newark, who was reported missing on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
 
Mr. Williams was last seen on February 13, 2024, at a residential facility in the 100 block of Ballantine Parkway. He removed his belongings from his room, carrying them in two large bags, before entering his 2-door dark blue Saturn.
 
Mr. Williams, who is diagnosed with schizophrenia and depression disorder, attends an adult daycare facility on weekdays in the 100 block of Mt. Pleasant Avenue but has not arrived there since February 13, 2024. He is described as 5’7” tall and 140 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans. He may be traveling to Trenton or Pennsylvania.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Eugene Williams to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
