INCIDENT: PC 245(a)(1) – Assault with a Weapon
LOCATION: 13400 block of Anoka Road, Apple Valley, CA
VICTIM(S): 45-year-old Male of Apple Valley, CA
SUSPECT(S): Jorge Gomez, 35-year-old Male of Apple Valley, CA
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, deputies were dispatched to a family dispute at a residence in the 13400 block of Anoka Road in the town of Apple Valley.
Deputies arrived on scene and Deputy T. Belvin investigated. The investigation revealed the suspect, Jorge Gomez, had hit the victim several times with an external battery pack. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated on scene by American Medical Response (AMR).
The suspect, Jorge Gomez, was arrested for PC 246(a)(1), assault with a weapon, and was transported to High Desert Detention Center for housing, where he is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail.
