You will also receive a direct link to the NJ Civil Service Commission’s website in your email and/or phone. Finally, you will be signed up for the free written exam prep classes hosted by the Newark Fire Division.
Here are the requirements to become a Newark firefighter:
- U.S. citizenship
- Valid Driver’s License
- Age: 18 through 34 years old.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- No criminal record
