Registration for the City's Art in the Park program will open on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. The five-week outdoor, creative arts program is designed for children between ages 1 and 4 years old. The program includes crafts, storytime, music, sing-alongs, and more.
The cost for participants is $45 for five 45-minute sessions and all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The sessions will be free for those who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Elysian Park and Wednesdays in Stevens Park beginning the week of June 18, 2024.
The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesdays at Elysian Park: June 18, June 25, July 9, July 16, and July 23
- Wednesdays at Stevens Park June 19, June 26, July 10, July 17, and July 24
- Thursdays at Elysian Park June 20, June 27, July 11, July 18, and July 25
- Rain dates: Fridays June 21, 28, July 12, 19, 26

The City also recommends selecting the opt-in text alerts option, which will allow for cancellation or rescheduling notifications. Once an account is created, the user can log in and explore programs and register for available activities.
