Holiday schedule announced
In observance of Presidents' Day, municipal offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19.
Street cleaning will be suspended on Monday, Feb. 19. All other parking regulations, including meters, will be enforced.
Waste collection and recycling will occur as regularly scheduled.
Hop shuttle service will be suspended on Monday, Feb. 19, in recognition of the holiday. It will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
JCMUA Marin Boulevard weekend work; Adjusted schedule; Hoboken traffic to be impacted
The Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority (JCMUA) has resumed a long-term water main replacement project along Marin Boulevard between 18th Street and Observer Highway. This will likely impact traffic heading into and out of southern Hoboken.
This weekend, work will be ongoing 24-7 through noon on Monday, Feb. 19. Work will resume Tuesday, Feb. 20, through Friday, Feb 23, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Beginning at 5 p.m. tonight, Friday, Feb. 16, Marin Boulevard, which turns into Henderson Street in Hoboken, will have one lane open in a southbound direction between 18th Street in Jersey City and Observer Highway in Hoboken. Northbound lanes will be closed.
From Tuesday, Feb. 20 through Friday, Feb 23, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Marin Boulevard will be closed to all traffic between 18th Street and Observer Highway.
Drivers are encouraged to use Grove Street and Jersey Avenue into and out of southern Hoboken or use northern routes during work hours. Residents are advised to leave extra travel time. Hoboken and Jersey City police will be on site to assist with detours and other traffic impacts.
