Two corrections officers attended Emergency Medical Response training at the Owensville-Montgomery Township Fire Department. Sgt. Fernando Bello and Corrections Officer Allison Craven will complete the 16-day course March 23.
The class aims to teach first aid skills to students such as airway management, resuscitation, injury assessment, and triage. The class will conclude with written and physical exams.
Bello and Craven will take these skills back to the jail and better assist inmates.
