Detective Jennifer Loesch attends homicide school and becomes certifed law enforcement academy instructor.
Det. Jennifer Loesch completed instructor development this fall. She is certified as a primary instructor and can teach law enforcement related classes. Each year law enforcement officers must obtain continuing education hours. These classes are typically taught by other police officers.
The five-day course requires students to design a full lesson on a topic selected by the student’s sheriff or chief. The student is required to present their lesson for evaluation. Each student must successfully complete their project and presentation.
She also attended a two-week course on death investigations at the Southern Police Institute in Louisville, Ky. The course covered numerous topics including forensics, case law, crime scene preservation, and criminal profiling.
