TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Snow Expected Tonight and Tomorrow - Drivers Asked to Observe No Parking on Snow-Covered Roadways Signs
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé reminds drivers to observe the No Parking on Snow Covered Roadways signs due to anticipated snow.
Beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, light snow is expected to fall until 1 a.m. with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Saturday, light snow is expected before noon with additional snow falling until 4 p.m.
All residents are reminded that tossing snow into the street is against the law.
The Department of Public Safety is coordinating responses to burglar alarms, flooding conditions, and other weather-related incidents through the combined use of Police, Fire, and Office of Emergency Management Personnel.
Special attention should be given to unsecured outdoor furniture, awnings, refuse, and building materials. For fire safety, please utilize flashlights, instead of candles, should you lose electricity due to this weather event.
