VICTIM(S): Richard Andrade, 52-years-old, Resident of Morongo Valley
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 11:34 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Avenue La Manana, in Joshua Tree, for the report of shots fired. When deputies arrived, they located the male victim, Richard Andrade, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail also responded and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, detectives learned Andrade sustained a gunshot wound while outside the residence. The suspect is unknown and remains at large.
