* Snow Squall Warning for... Northeastern Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey... Western Morris County in northern New Jersey... Southwestern Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey... Warren County in northwestern New Jersey... Northeastern Carbon County in northeastern Pennsylvania... Monroe County in northeastern Pennsylvania... Northeastern Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania...

* At 247 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located over Delaware Water Gap, or 17 miles southeast of Mount Pocono, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads. Intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 35 mph. SOURCE...Radar and webcams. IMPACT...Dangerous and life-threatening travel conditions are expected to develop rapidly in the warning area. This includes the following highways... Northeast Extension between mile markers 83 and 97. Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 277 and 314. Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 33. Interstate 380 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 13. Locations impacted include... Newton, Mount Pocono, Hopatcong, East Stroudsburg, Hackettstown, Tobyhanna, Wharton, Washington, Blairstown, Bangor, Mount Arlington, Stanhope, Pen Argyl, Netcong, Wind Gap, Belvidere, Harmony, Oxford, Hope, and Glen Gardner.

Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads, bridges, and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and be prepared for a sudden loss of traction. Slow Down!
